Today, you still hear an Elvis Presley rock song over the radio. Even he is no longer alive, but his music remains in the heart of many people who loves him. He was one of the most popular rock star in his generation. Although he died in the year 1977, but his fans still continue his legacy through impersonation. An Elvis impersonator is a person who is a big fan of him and help continues his legacy in the present generation.

Usually, impersonating a great icon is just a hobby for some. However, today, it is already a job and anyone is considering this as their weird career. Anyone is welcome to impersonate him. It may be an Asian, Black, White, tall, short, young, old, skinny or fat. For them, it is fun to be like him.

There are already numerous impersonators in the world and this job becomes rampant for all events. When Elvis was still alive, he used to perform in street gigs, festivals, bars and even in most video games, he was also present. Indeed, he can be considered as the living legend of all times.

Elvis possessed a classic look, with an aviator glasses, bushy sideburns, glittering jumpsuits, huge collars and his jet black hair. He was certainly a rock star. If you are planning to become an impersonator, you do not have to quit to your day job. You can start downloading his songs through your iPod or spending your time in watching his performances that are available in DVD.

Start practicing his style in performing. Study his moves, his style in music and his overall stage presence. Wear clothes that are similar to his style. Start your impersonating career in an event, fairs, parties, bars, karaoke places, concerts halls and other occasions. Try to evaluate yourself if you made the crowd enjoy your performance, if not, try to develop it more. Joining regional festivals is also a better idea to improve yourself more.

Create your own portfolio that has a voice recording sounds and your photos. You can respond to any call from advertisements either online or magazines. You must work for your development and improvement to be a better impersonator. You can go to any casinos in Vegas, since most Elvis Presley impersonators shined here and become famous.

Each contestant is judged according to their vocals, stage presence. Appearance and the overall performance to have the chance to win a cash prize. Since it has already many impersonators in the world, it is quite hard to earn and to target a specific average wage. That is why, some consider impersonation as their hobby and enjoyment. Others would give a performance on the streets and earn in an hour.

Playing like a superstar is a rare opportunity. Not everyone has the talent to become one. That is why, you are so lucky if you have already performed in any shows as the King of rock. Just enjoy your job and in the long run, you will be successful like your idol.
