A person who came well in a society that shuns his very existence is definitely someone who we can admire as it is not very often that a strong person is showcased. The name of a person who exhibits this type of behavior is none other than Alexander Koleszar and is a well known modern painter. Although many know him just for his works, many do not know the painful experiences that he had to experience while growing up.

Mister Koleszar lead quite a tough life as he was a gay man who grew up in a society where men are all supposed to be tough and homosexuality is frowned upon. He grew up in the city of Michigan wherein all of his peers were all tough men who embraced masculinity into their lives. This became quite a problem for him as he was an introvert.

Of course while growing up, he had to keep that a secret because if people knew, they would shun him and not accept him. In order to keep his secret, he mostly stayed alone away from people but communicated with some of his peers if needed. Instead of socializing, he would observe how men acted and used that as a basis for how he should act.

Throughout his entire childhood, he enjoyed painting and he really excelled at it. In fact, some of his paintings were hung up in the city hall of his town. However, the downside of being a good painter at that time was that many of his peers saw that as a girlie past time and therefore referred to him as a person with sexual ambiguity or simply a gay.

Of course like any closet gay, he denied that he was one so that he would not get shunned. Of course the years went by and his mind struggled even more because his attraction to men became even stronger than before. With this, he decided to tell his family about his problem in hopes that they would help him figure things out for himself.

When his parents found out, they immediately sent him for counselling from doctors or psychologists as they speculated that he had a mental problem. Another thing that they did was to see an endocrinologist to see if the problem lied within his hormones. In all desperation, they even went to see a priest to seek guidance.

In the end, his family decided to send him away and had him change his name. During this time, he decided to move to Phoenix, Arizona in order to settle down his mind from all the drama. He lived with his sister who was very much okay with him being gay.

Upon moving there, he studied in Arizona State University and quickly became an honor student. It was also here that he met a young man that would eventually become his lover. While in this stage, he continued to pursue his art career and made some of the most stunning art sets that anyone has ever seen.
